Upon running vbrun60sp6.exe (KB290887-X86), it brought up a progress bar and then closed out. I'm not sure if it was supposed to launch a full-screen installation screen or if it completed correctly, but after the progress bar, it went to a screen that said something along the lines of "This program may not have installed correctly" and then gave me one of two options: "Reinstall using recommended settings" and "This program installed correctly."
I hit "This program installed correctly" because I saw no obvious signs of errors, but the cumulative update failed to install, claiming that it couldn't find VB6 SP6 installed on my computer. I reran SP6, but it didn't give me the warning this time, so I assumed it remembered my answer from last time. I redownloaded it and ran the new version of SP6, selecting the "Reinstall using recommended settings" option. Despite this, the cumulative update still claimed it couldn't find VB6 SP6.
Any advice?
PS: I'm using Windows 7, if that matters.
