I have a personal problem with CD/DVD drives. I usually decide I need to burn a disc right when I'm already doing 4-5 other unrelated things. The result is that I end up with a lot of discs that are nicely labeled, but have nothing on them, and a lot more that aren't labeled at all, but have critical files on them.
I believe I have taken care of the second case, but, with the first problem I have a question. Is there a way to use VB to find out quickly and reliably that nothing has ever been written to the disk?
Right now I sit around and wait for Windoze to notice that there is a disc in the drive and ask me what I want to do with it. There's a line of text in the window header that sometimes says the disk is blank. (Is that reliable?)
Once I have a truly amazing solution to that set of problems, I need someone to drop by and figure out where the h**l I have been putting all of my black magic markers. :)
