Function from Excel using in VB6

Hello,

Im have a program in VB6, where I read an ExcelSheet.
Opening and closing the sheet is no problem, but I want to calculate the average of cells A:A.
I hope that someone can help me.
Sorry for my bad language, it isn't very good.
