Any way to use a more modern browser in a VB 6 program?

My program uses the Internet Explorer control which is getting out of date and modern websites don't appear properly in it.

Is there anyway of using a more modern version of IE inside a VB 6 application?

If not, does VB.Net allow a more modern version of IE to be built into your applications?
