Search for a text file?

Hi there. I am working on a literacy program, but to help track student performance, I would like the program to look for an attendance list that could be somewhere else on the computer. Now the odds of another textfile having the exact same name is very improbable, so I was just wondering is there a way for VB 6 to look for a text file, and if the file is found to pop up a msgbox with the file pathway/location?
